3 Gamedev Ideas (January 20, 2020)

Hello,

Today’s my birthday! I’m now 24 and I’ve been working on my game for around 15 months.

That’s about 5x the time I expected it to take already – and I’m still nowhere near completing it!

Anyway, here are this week’s ideas.

3 Gamedev Ideas

I.

When making a game, the “creativity” part only represents a fraction of the project.

Getting a good idea takes a few minutes, implementing it can take days.

II.

Using willpower to accomplish tasks doesn’t work in the long run.

Instead, change up your environment so you don’t have to use any willpower.

III.

A game you made in a week could be more popular than a game you spent years on.

People don’t care how much you worked on something as long as they like the end product.

Until next week,
